The Department of Chemical Engineering was founded in 1994 at the faculty of Engineering and is currently admitting students for BSc, MSc, and Ph.D. programs as follows:
BSc: Chemical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Polymer Engineering
MSc: Process Design - Catalyst and Thermodynamics – Biotechnology - Separation Processes – Polymer
Ph.D.: Chemical Engineering
There is a close collaboration between the department of Chemical Engineering and chemical industries like petroleum, Refinery, Petrochemical and biotechnology Industries. This department is equipped with various educational laboratories such as those of Heat Transfer, Process Control, Unit Operations, Fluid Mechanics, Oil, Polymer, Quality Control, and chemistry. Also, several research laboratories such as industrial biotechnology process, CFD, petroleum process, Catalyst, process design and simulation run researches in different field of chemical and petroleum engineering.
