Established in 1994 within the Faculty of Engineering, the Department of Chemical Engineering offers comprehensive academic programs at the BSc, MSc, and Ph.D. levels. The Department maintains robust collaborative ties with key sectors of the chemical industry, including petroleum, refining, petrochemicals, and biotechnology. Our facilities are designed to support both rigorous education and advanced research. We host a diverse array of teaching laboratories—such as Heat Transfer, Process Control, Unit Operations, Fluid Mechanics, Oil, Polymer, Quality Control, and Chemistry—that provide students with essential practical experience. Furthermore, our specialized research laboratories, including those focused on Industrial Biotechnology, CFD, Petroleum Processes, Catalysis, and Process Design and Simulation, conduct cutting-edge research across the broad spectrum of chemical and petroleum engineering.
