The Department of Chemistry of Razi University was established in 1974 in the Faculty of Science at the undergraduate level and was promoted to the Faculty of Chemistry in 2008. The department offers two programs of Pure Chemistry and Applied Chemistry at the undergraduate level (Bsc) as well as six programs including Applied Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry, Physical Chemistry and Nanochemistry at graduate levels (MSc and PhD).
