Razi University

The head of the Organization of Student Affairs of the Ministry of Science said, "Conditions must be met for the active presence of universities on the international arena.".
According to the Public Relations report of Razi University, the meeting of the Board of officals of the University with Dr. Hashem Dadashpour, the Head of the Student Affairs Organization of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and his entourage, was held on Thursday, November 10, 2022 in the meeting hall of the university's presidency.
In this meeting, Dr. Dadashpour, referring to his visits of different departments of the university, described Razi University as one of the most beautiful universities in the country and stated, "Razi University is a well-developed and mature university with a history of 50 years, and its development process continues".
He reminded, " It takes time for newly established university with a short history to develop and progress well, and there are few universities that have gone through such a process despite being young with Kashan and Torbat Heydarieh Universities being as examples. These universities are not very old, but their development is on a good track. One of the important reasons for this success is the activity and diligence of donors, as in Torbat Heydarieh University, 5 buildings are being built with the support of donors."
Dr. Dadashpour added, "Razi University is on a good developing track and the progress and transformation that has taken place in RU is significant and evident comparing to the past 10 to 15 years".
The head of the Organization of Student Affairs considered the international activities of universities very important and emphasized, "Razi University should gain momentum towards international activities in order to provide capacity for the country as well as Kermanshah province".
Dr. Dadashpour stressed, "Universities are in a situation where they can play a role in the international arena, but unfortunately, they have not yet had an effective presence in the international arena regarding their capacity. Therefore, existing obstacles should be removed and the conditions for active presence in the international arena should be provided."
The head of the Organization of Student Affairs considered admitting international students important in strengthening the international image of the university and emphasized that efforts should be made to admit as many international students as possible.
Dr. Dadashpour continued by referring to his visit of various parts of Razi University, especially the student halls and other facilities of the university , and reminded, "I am very pleased to see the beautiful Razi University, the process of equipping the sports complexes and health centers in the dormitories should be taken care of urgently.
Referring to the comprehensive approach of the government, he said, "The needs of students are not only limited to educational and research needs, their needs of mental health, culture, and sports should be also taken care of. Hence, universities must go beyond the traditional approach and have a transformational view."
Dr. Dadashpour stated that the age of students in universities has increased in comparison to decades ago, and emphasized "Today, we see that the majority of students spend at least 8 years in the university environment at different levels, so we are not only dealing with a university but with a university town, and in fact is a "big family" of elites and people of science and knowledge.  With this capacity, the necessary facilities regarding mental health, sports, counseling, health, culture and welfare should be provided in universities."
In the end, he reminded " The Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, especially the Organization of Student Affairs will do its best to support universities and help solve their problems".
