Department of Water Engineering 

The Department of Water Engineering at Razi University first began offering bachelor’s programs in 1992, well before introducing master’s programs in Irrigation and Drainage Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, and Water Structures Engineering, which commenced in 2006, 2008, and 2012, respectively. Doctoral programs in Irrigation and Drainage Engineering and Water Structures Engineering were subsequently launched in 2011 and 2012.

The Department’s active laboratories include Irrigation and Drainage, Aerial Photo Mapping and Interpretation, Water Quality, Meteorology, Soil Mechanics, Hydroinformatics, Hydraulics, Hydroponics, and Hydraulic-Physical Models. In addition, the Department operates four research farms, each occupying 600 square meters, three lysimeter stations, each covering 120 square meters, one automatic meteorological station, a research greenhouse, and two independent computer laboratories for undergraduate and graduate students.
