E-commerce has become indispensable to national development in a world increasingly defined by digital exchange. At its core, it refers to the electronic transfer of data and the conduct of commercial activity through computer communication networks, above all the Internet. So thoroughly have these technologies woven themselves into daily life that it is now difficult to imagine the contemporary economy without them. Offering a field of study dedicated to Information Technology (E–commerce) therefore speaks directly to a pressing national need: cultivating the expertise required to build, sustain, and expand digital markets.

In response, the Faculty of Innovative Sciences and Technologies (IST) has begun admitting students to its E–commerce program, preparing specialists for this emerging profession. The master’s program in Information Technology Engineering, one of the University’s graduate programs in Engineering, is designed to produce professionals capable of deploying advanced technologies, formulating strategies, and designing and managing e–commerce systems. Its broader aim is to equip graduates to identify and remove the obstacles that currently limit the full application of e-commerce’s potential.
