Department of Psychology
The Department of Psychology started its activities in 2007 (as a part of the Department of Guidance and Counseling) with the admission of 40 students. In 2009, eight graduate students were admitted in the field of Psychology for the first time, and five years later, in 2014, PhD students in General Psychology were admitted. In 2014, the Department separated from the Department of Guidance and Counseling. Currently, the Department is home to Psychology students at undergraduate, graduate, and PhD levels.
The Department of Psychology also publishes Aging Psychology (AP), a peer-reviewed open-access quarterly journal in Persian (with extended English abstracts and bibliographies), which is devoted to the fields of adult development, aging and geropsychology.
