Razi University

Financial Management is a relatively new academic field in Iran, with a history of little more than two decades. Initially offered as a branch of Business Management, it became an independent field of study in 2002, reflecting the growing importance of financial resource allocation, cash-flow management, and investment decision-making in modern organizations.

The field equips students with knowledge and skills in key areas of financial management, including investment, risk management, financial engineering and the development of innovative financial instruments, financing, banking, and insurance. Graduates may pursue a range of professional positions in financial and investment management, banking and financial institutions, credit and funding departments, investment companies, and project evaluation and economic assessment. Career opportunities also extend to organizations involved in capital markets and stock exchanges.

The Faculty of Management and Accounting in Javanroud began offering the Bachelor's programme in Financial Management in 2013 as one of the faculties of Razi University, admitting its first cohort of 45 students. Since then, more than 250 students have been admitted to the programme, of whom approximately 150 have graduated.
