Biography

Rasool Ghobadian holds a B.S. in Irrigation and Drainage from Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz and an M.S. in Water structure from Tehran University. He received his PhD in Water structure from Shahid Chamran University of Ahvaz in 2008. He began his official collaboration with Razi University in August 1997. He is now an Associate Professor in the department of Water Engineering at the faculty of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
Dr Ghobadian has been teaching several courses to undergraduate students such as Design of hydraulic structure, Open channel Hydraulic, Fluid Mechanic, Soil Mechanic, and Pump and Pumping stations.
Also, the courses he has been teaching to graduate students include Advance Hydraulic, Computational Hydraulic, Sediment hydraulic and Flood control. His research interests are Steady and unsteady flow simulation in river system and irrigation system, Water hammer simulation in water structures, Sediment transfer simulation and optimization, Simulation of water movement in the soil and laboratory modeling of water structures. He has published more than 90 single-authored and joint papers with his graduate students in these fields in prestigious national and international scientific journals.
