Department of Political Science
The Department of Political Science and International Relations of Razi University is located in the Faculty of Social Sciences. The Department was established in 1999 and has been continuously admitting students in the undergraduate level of Political Science. The Department began to admit students in the master's level in Political Science in 2007 and in International Relations in 2012. In addition, the Department has been also admitting students in the PhD level of Political Science-Political Sociology since 2013.
The Department of Political Science and International Relations publishes the quarterlies Journal of International Political Economy Studies and Mesopotamia: Political Studies Journal. It also runs the research group of Economic-Political Studies of Iraq.
Among the future plans of the Department is to establish a master's program in Regional Studies, a master's program in Islamic Revolution Studies, and a PhD program in International Relations.
The Department welcomes students from neighboring countires, among others, and is trying to expand its scientific interactions with the universities of Iraq and Turkey.
