Biography

Dr. Yasser Shahbazi is currently working as a professor of food hygiene at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Razi University, Kermanshah, Iran. He is a DVSc graduate of Food Hygiene and Quality Control from Urmia University, West Azarbaijan, Iran. Dr. Shahbazi began working in the Department of Food Hygiene at Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Razi University, from April 2011. He has been considered the top 1% highly cited researcher based on ESI database since 2022. Dr. Shahbazi has also been considered the top 2% highly cited researcher based on Scopus database since 2021. Moreover, he is a recipient of the 23rd national festival price for honoring extremely researchers and technologists (October 2022). The following courses being taught by Dr. Shahbazi: food control (chemical and microbial), meat hygiene and inspection, zoonosis, and foodborne infections and intoxications. His research interests include smart and active packaging, determination of chemical contaminants, especially heavy metals, antibiotic residues, and mycotoxins.
