Biography

Mohammad Sharifipour holds a BSc in Civil Engineering from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad and an MSc in Hydraulic Structures from Amir Kabir University of Technology. He received his PhD in Geotechnics in December 2006 from Ecole Centrale Nantes in France. He began his official collaboration with Razi University in June 1995, and is now an Associate Professor in the department of Civil Engineering at Faculty of Engineering.
He has taught several courses to undergraduate students, including Geological Engineering, Mechanics of Materials, Foundation Engineering, Mechanics of Fluids, Hydraulics, Hydraulic Structures, Principles of Dam Engineering, and, Construction of Concrete and Steel Structures. The courses he has also been teaching to graduate students include Advanced Mathematical Engineering, Soil Dynamics, Geotechnical Earthquake Engineering, Ground Improvements, Earth Dam, Site Investigation, and Soil-Structures Interaction. His main research interests is ‌static and dynamic characterization of clean and hydrocarbon-contaminated soil by waves propagation. His research papers – single-authored and co-authored by the graduate students under his supervision – have been published in prestigious national and international scientific journals.
