Biography

Shahab Moradkhani received his PhD in TESOL in the spring of 2014 from Tarbiat Modares University, Tehran, Iran. He officially joined Razi University in the fall of 2015. He is now an associate professor in the Department of English Language and Linguistics, Faculty of Humanities.

He has been teaching various courses like Conversation, Essay Writing, Reading Comprehension, Conversation on Suggested Topics, Reading Press, and Language Testing to undergraduate students. Also, the courses that he typically teaches at graduate level include Academic Writing, Research Software Programs in Language Teaching, Practicum, Second/Foreign Language Teacher Education, and Second Language Acquisition.

Shahab’s main research interests are second/foreign language teacher education, teaching language skills/components, and the role of culture in language teaching/learning. His independent and co-authored articles have appeared in leading academic journals like System, Teaching and Teacher Education, Computer Assisted Language Learning, Journal of Language, Identity, and Education, ELT Journal, Research Papers in Education, TESOL Journal, and Language Teaching Research.
