Biography
Iraj Jabbari received his PhD degree in Flood Geomorphology from University of Tabriz in 1996 and then he began his official collaboration with Razi University.
Having focused his research on Hill slope Geomorphology and Fluvial Geomorphology, after taking sabbatical in 2010-2011 in Montreal, Canada and understanding the issues and problems of developing countries, Dr Jabbari is willing to direct his expertise towards environmental hazards and land use planning. Therefore, he tends to use scientific skills in solving environmental issues and problems.
Dr. Jabbari has recently supervised the following theses with topics about: Origins and causes of domestic sources of dust in western Iran, Finding the sources of the salt found in the interior basins of Zagros, Subsidence and predictions about its Geomorphological results in future, Modeling the evolution of river confluences, and the possibility of landslides reoccurring in environmental hazards in Mele Kabud (the land where Sar-Pol-e-Zahab Earthquake slid along) .
