Abstract

The bimetallic iron-zinc metal-organic framework (MOF) was synthesized using iron(III) nitrate nonahydrate (Fe(NO3)3·9H2O), zinc nitrate hexahydrate (Zn(NO3)2·6H2O), and terephthalic acid as the organic linker. Following the synthesis of the Fe-Zn MOF, CuI nanoparticles were successfully immobilized onto the framework, resulting in the formation of CuI@Fe-Zn nanoparticles. To elucidate the structural and compositional characteristics of the synthesize CuI@Fe-Zn nanoparticles, a comprehensive characterization was performed employing a variety of analytical techniques, including FTIR, XRD, EDX, FESEM, TGA and BET. This multifaceted characterization approach provides valuable insights into the structural integrity, morphology, and potential applications of the CuI@Fe-Zn nanoparticles in various fields of research.
