Biography

Reza (SeyedReza) Hashemi was born in 1967, He received his diploma in mathematics and physics in 1984 from Imam Khomeini High School in the same city. In 1989, he received a bachelor's degree in statistics from Shahid Beheshti University of Tehran and in 1994, he received a master's degree in applied statistics from Tarbiat Modares University of Tehran. In February 1995, Reza was hired as an instructor in the Mathematics Department of the Faculty of Science at Razi University and, together with several members of the Mathematics Department, established the Statistics Department. He was accepted into the Ministry of Science's overseas study abroad entrance exam in 1997 and in December 1998 he went to France to continue his studies and completed his French language at the University of Caen in the Normandy province. Then he graduated his Ph.D. with honors from the University of Bordeaux II in the Aquitaine province of France in the field of applied statistics in epidemiology and public health in 2002. Since August 2002, he was re-employed in the Statistics Department of Razi University. During his service at Razi University, in addition to being an academic member of the faculty, he also held the executive positions of Director of University Planning and Programs office, Director of the Statistics Department, Deputy Director of Finance and Administration of the Faculty of Sciences, and Dean of the Faculty of Sciences. He is married and has two children, both of whom are higher educated.
