Biography

Ä Dr. Mohsen Saeidi was born on April 21, 1978, in the central province of Iran. He has a bachelor's degree in Agronomy and Plant Breeding from Lorestan University in 2000 and a master's degree in Agronomy from Tehran University in 2001. He received his doctorate in Crop Physiology from Tehran University in September 2008.

He completed a study opportunity course from 2007 to 2008 in his doctoral degree at the Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (IPK) in Germany. He started his official cooperation as a lecturer and researcher with Razi University in September 2009. He is currently a member of the Department of Plant Production and Genetics faculty in the Faculty of Agricultural Sciences and Engineering.

Ä During this period, he taught various courses in Ph.D. degree such as Plant Molecular Physiology, Laboratory Methods in Crop Physiology, and Plant Growth Regulators. Also, he taught lessons Plant Hormones, Physiology of Crop Growth and Development, and New Topics in Agronomy in M.Sc. degree and Agronomy, Principles of Crop Production, Water-Soil-Plant Relationship, Practical Skills 1 and 2, Plant Biochemistry, and General in B.Sc. degree.

In the field of research, his main topics of interest are investigating morphological and physiological mechanisms of plants in the face of non-living environmental stresses, plant nutrition, and bacteria and fungi symbiotic with the roots of agricultural plants. He is interested in studying the physiological mechanisms of plants in the above conditions at the level of metabolome and proteome.

¯ Currently, most of her research focus is on oil plants and legumes (especially peas

     and lentils).

¯ She has played a role in publishing more than 115 articles in prestigious foreign and

domestic journals and guiding and consulting more than 100 postgraduate theses.

Ä Dr. Mohsen Saeidi has also served in the following positions at Razi University:

¯ Deputy manager of the group from 2010 to 2012

¯ Director of Plant Genetics and Production Engineering Department from 2012 to 2017

¯ The general manager of the student vice-chancellor from 2017 to 2020

¯ Student vice president from 2020 to 2022
