Biography
Mehrdad Pouyanmehr holds a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from
Shahid Chamran University and a Ph.D. in Immunology from the University of Tehran.
He began his formal collaboration with Razi University in 1997 and currently serves as a full-time faculty member at the university's Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
Teaching Experience: Throughout his tenure, he has taught a wide range of courses at both the undergraduate and DVM levels, including Physiology, Parasitology, Histology and Tissue Sectioning Techniques, Hematology, Bacteriology, Principles of Animal Examination, Zoonotic Diseases, Specialized Microbiology Techniques, Veterinary Skill Development, and specialized courses such as Immunology, Virology, Principles of Biosafety and Laboratory Safety, and Principles of Vaccination and Biological Products.
Research:
Primary research interests include various topics in immunology and biosafety, as well as the impact of medicinal plants on basal immune enhancement.
Author of approximately 150 papers published in domestic peer-reviewed scientific journals, ISI-indexed journals, and proceedings of domestic and international conferences.
Authored two books in the field of veterinary medicine:
- Research Methodology
- Principles of Livestock and Poultry Health
- Supervisor for over fifty Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) theses and undergraduate student projects.
