About Dr. Hossein Fallahi

Dr. Hossein Fallahi is an Associate Professor of Molecular Genetics at Razi University, Kermanshah, where his academic journey began in cellular and molecular biology. After earning his master’s degree in Iran, he was awarded a prestigious opportunity through the Ministry of Science to pursue doctoral studies abroad. He completed his PhD in Molecular Genetics at the Australian National University in 2009.

With over a decade of multidisciplinary research experience, Dr. Fallahi integrates systems biology, bioinformatics, and artificial intelligence to address complex biological challenges, particularly in cancer and stem cell biology. His work spans transcriptomic and genomic data analysis across both human and plant systems, supported by a deep focus on precision medicine applications.

Dr. Fallahi is a dedicated educator, teaching courses in molecular genetics, genetic engineering, bioinformatics, systems biology, and cancer transcriptional regulation across undergraduate to PhD levels. His research has been published in numerous high-impact journals and reflects a commitment to advancing computational approaches for biomedical discovery.

Recently, his lab has pivoted toward machine learning and deep learning techniques to uncover actionable insights in cancer diagnostics and regenerative medicine. He continues to mentor students and researchers, fostering innovation at the intersection of biology and data science.
