Biography

Mehdi Ezati holds a Bachelor degree of History from Tehran University and a Master's degree in History- Islamic Iran from Kharazmi Uniersity. He received his PhD degree in History of Islam from University of Isfahan in 2015. He began his official collaboration with Razi University in 2017. He is now an Assistant Professor in the department of History and Archaeology at the faculty of Humanities.
Dr Ezati has been teaching several courses to undergraduate students such as, Analytical History of Early Islam, History of Muslim World in Umayyads era, History of Muslim world in Abbasid era, History of Maghreb from Islamic Conquest to Hafsid Dynasty, History of Islamic Dynasties in Andalusia, Spread of Islam in Iran, Teaching Methods and Techniques in History.

Also, the courses he usually teaches to graduate students include The History of Culture and Civilization of Islam and Iran, a Review of the History of Iran from the Fall of the Sassanids to the End of the Umayyads era, a Review of the History of Iran from the Beginning of the Abbasids era to the Fall of Baghdad, a Review of the History of Iran During the Mongols era, Timurians and Local Governments, the History of Islam in The Umayyad and Abbasid era, the History of Islam in Central Asia and the Indian Subcontinent.

His research interests are History of Early Islam, History of Islam in Egypt and North Africa and the local history.
He has published more than 10 papers in Encyclopedia of Islamic World and more than 10 papers in in prestigious national scientific journals. Dr Ezati has also been the manager and contributor of 4 research projects. In addition, he has been the conference chair of four international and national conferences.
