Biography

Ali Nejat Lorestani completed his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering of agricultural machinery at Urmia University (1999) and his master's degree (2001) and doctorate degree (2006) at Tehran University. He started his official cooperation with Razi University in September 2006. He is now an associate professor in the Department of Mechanics Engineering of Biosystems in the Faculty of Agriculture. From March 1401, he was appointed as the vice president of education and supplementary education of Razi University's Agriculture and Natural Resources Campus.

During this time, he taught various lessons such as Statics, Dynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Strength of Materials, Agricultural Machinery, Welding operation، Physical & Mechanical Properties of Agricultural Products, Tillage & Planting Machinery,  Maintenance & Harvesting Machinery, English for the students of Mechanization and Mechanics, In the undergraduate course and lessons such as Advanced  Measurement, Soil and Machine Interaction, Engineering Properties of Biological Materials, Food quality Authentication methods, Fuzzy Control Systems  have taught in the master's course.

In the field of research, his main topics of interest are:

Mechanics of Agricultural Machinery (Design and Construction)
Post-Harvest Technology (Processing of Agricultural Materials, Determination of Engineering Properties of Biological Materials, Sorting of Fruits, Grading of Fruits based on their color and size)
Artificial Intelligence (Neural Networks, Fuzzy Logic)
Computer and Networking (Machine Vision (

He has published 56 articles in prestigious domestic and foreign magazines and 66 articles in prestigious national and international conferences (until 2024).
